Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy Page

What is EMDR?
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a powerful, research-supported therapy designed to help people heal from the lingering effects of difficult or traumatic experiences. Instead of relying only on talking through memories, EMDR helps the brain reprocess and store those experiences in a healthier way. By using bilateral stimulation—often gentle eye movements, taps, or sounds—EMDR taxes the working memory, allowing old memories to lose their intensity and emotional charge.
In other words, EMDR helps you move past being “stuck” in old emotional loops so you can respond to life in the present rather than through the lens of past pain.

Clients often say EMDR helps them feel lighter, less triggered, and more at peace—without erasing their memories. EMDR helps your brain do what it was designed to do: adapt, heal, and move forward.
